Got a problem with somebody? Take it out on their kids

At least that’s the stance of Denver Archbishop Charles J. Chaput. This yahoo decided to back up the claim by a Catholic school to deny 2 children admission because their parents are a lesbian couple. I guess I shouldn’t be shocked to see this kind of power drunk display, but it really is sickening. It’s about time they got over themselves. What exactly do they serve to accomplish by robbing kids of an education? Oh, that’s right, gay=bad, how silly of me I must have forgotten. I also seem to remember that miscegenation was banned based on Biblical rules, however slavery was justified by that same text. I still remember asking my teachers questions about the bible and being consistently reminded how much interpretation is needed to grasp the Bible’s message. I guess the gay issue is the only black and white area, and conveniently so. In a world where tolerance is preached but never, ever, ever practiced – it would just be an awful stigma for the town of Boulder to have the children of a gay couple receive an education, wouldn’t it? (psssssst – the catholic church has become more well-known for their rampant numbers of homosexual sex abuse cases rather than their gospel teachings…irony is a son of a bitch isn’t it?) What ever happened to the normal Catholics that took home the spirit of the law? You know – the ones who lived a respectful, sane life. Pandering to the majority of a homophobic entity at the cost of an innocent child’s education is absolutely disgusting. All is well, however, as Archbishop Chaput said, “The church doesn’t believe God has any less love for the children of gays and lesbians than for other children, or that gays and lesbians are bad people”…. well of course not, they are just not allowed to get an education.

eh. its a private institution and they can do whatever they want. the pope isnt the principle, some dick with his own agenda is. this does not in anyway represent the feelings of all catholics. there are jerks of every creed, not just catholic ones. why dont they apply at a jewish school? muslim? if they didnt why not? god forbid they go to PUBLIC SCHOOL. when i was growing up i thought all the atheist were tough people. turns out all they do is complain and moan about the meany pants theists. sorry this turned into my own little blog.

Valid point, but for me- it is one giant contradiction after another, it gets tough to understand what the real message is when they cant even stop the drool from pouring out of their mouth at the thought of power or money. Everything was fine before they started making up the rules as they went along.

yeah but you just cat get mad at catholics cause theres a shitload of us. its too easy. its like saying heteros shouldnt be allowed to get married because 50 percent of em get divorced anyways. gays and lesbians fight for their right to get married but once the gov makes it legal theres gonna be 50 percent of em that wanna get divorced. idk if that makes any sense but… yeah.

I’m not mad at catholics, i’m mad that the only reason these kids couldn’t go to the school they wanted to go to was because their parents are gay. It’s just stupid. Sure they could go somewhere else – but if the church is going to make a stand just to do it, I’m going to also.
